We are writing to you today with an update on your fire case. We finally have a bit of a breakthrough with one of the subrogation carriers that could finally help fund the settlement and start getting you the resources you need and deserve from the devastating fires.

The details are still being worked out, but for the first time since we put together the settlement of over four billion dollars, we have progressed with the insurance issue in a small way. I will be on island a week from Monday, March 2nd, and we will be hosting our town hall meetings at the Sheraton Black Rock, where we met last time.

Final details will be out next Friday, but we will have three meetings: one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the early evening. If you can make one of these meetings in person, please do so. Later in the week of March 2nd, we will also host another virtual meeting for anyone who could not make the in-person meetings.

We will discuss the ongoing negotiations with the insurance companies and timelines for the funding of the settlement. Once the settlement is funded, the trust will begin to push out claim determinations, and we can start seeing money get into your hands.
