AVA Law Group’s Update on the Maui Fires -9/05/2025 (Privileged & Confidential; Attorney-Client Communication)

Aloha my ohana,

It was so good seeing you all last week. You’ve done an incredible job staying on top of every step so far, and because of that, you’re already in a better position. But now it’s time to roll up our sleeves and finish this critical work before the October 1 deadline. Every detail you add can only make your case stronger, so if you think of or find anything else, please reach out. Together, we will keep Hawai‘i’s voice strong.

One key step remains: signing your settlement release. Without it, your claim cannot move forward. Please look for an email from delivery@eversign.com with the subject line “Maui Individual Settlement Release” and sign it right away. If you cannot locate it or need help, call us at 808-501-1683 and we’ll walk you through the process.

Once you’ve signed the release, please call our office so we can finalize your paperwork and ensure your story is fully submitted. Time is running short, and every delay risks your claim not being counted.

Here’s what we need from you now (3 steps):

1. Sign your release from Eversign so the settlement process can move forward.
2. Complete your claims questionnaire with us by phone or directly through the portal. We’ll review it together.
3. Send in supporting documents such as receipts, invoices, photos, rental agreements, or property titles. These show the Trustee how the fires affected your life, where you lived, and the unexpected expenses you had to cover.

The above steps are the foundation for maximizing the compensation you are owed. Please don’t wait.

Call us now so we can help finalize your claim and present the strongest possible case to the Trustee.

Mahalo and Aloha,

Andrew Van Arsdale
