Aloha my ohana,
Judge Cahill has approved a one month extension to the October 1 deadline for Maui Fires claims. This gives us more time to make sure your claim is as strong as possible and that every part of your story is heard.
Please take a moment to watch this short video update about the path ahead:
Because you have already signed your release, completed your questionnaire, and sent in your supporting documents, your claim is in a very strong place. Mahalo for showing up and doing the work when we asked.
Even though we now have more time, we can still improve your case. If you find any additional documents, receipts, photos, or memories that show how these fires touched your life, please send them to us right away. Every detail helps strengthen your story.
Over the next month, some of you may still need to sign an additional release or document. If that happens, you will hear from our office. Please watch for our calls, texts, or emails so we can respond quickly and keep everything on track.
The Trustee must see clear proof that you lived where the fires happened, that you faced costs you otherwise would not have, and that this disaster made your life harder. The more we can show, the better chance we have to honor your experience and strengthen your recovery.
Stay ready and stay connected. We are almost there.
Mahalo,
Andrew Van Arsdale
