A Montana judge sentenced a former athletic trainer for Miles City Schools convicted of sexually abusing young athletes within his care. According to KULR8 News, James “Doc” Jensen acknowledged luring boys into sexual abuse by disguising it as a way to improve their athletic performance. Judge Dana Christensen sentenced Jensen to 12 years in prison with 3 years of supervised release.
32 of Jensen’s victims filed a civil lawsuit against the former trainer for sexual abuse after Jensen contacted some of them via Facebook, attempting to apologize for the abuse. Jensen called his sexual abuse “the Program”, which included, among other sex crimes, masturbating the boys. During Jensen’s sentencing, three of the victims testified in tears, recounting how they have to live with the impact of the abuse for the rest of their lives.
