ARIZONA ALTERED CIVIL LAWS ON SEEKING LEGAL ACTION FOR SEXUAL ABUSE

ATTENTION ARIZONA SEXUAL ABUSE SURVIVORS:

On May 28, 2019, Arizona lawmakers passed House Bill (HB) 2466, a bill opening up new opportunities for Arizona sexual abuse survivors. This bill extends and opens up new options for Arizona sexual abuse survivors to pursue justice for their abuse. The most notable change is Arizona opened a nineteen-month “look back window” for survivors to bring forward old claims. During this nineteen-month time frame, even claims that were considered expired or ineligible under old statute of limitations can be brought forward.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME?
